The European Master in Applied Ecology (EMAE) plans to form specialists able to develop and lead ecological projects throughout the world by providing them with a wide range of competences and skills, completed by a professional specialization in one of several leading fields of Ecology (Conservation, Toxicology, Functional ecosystem dynamics, Evolutionary ecology, Environmental sciences).
EMAE consortium involves: Université de Poitiers, France (co-ordinating institution); Universidade de Coimbra, Portugal; Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Germany; and University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK. EU consortium is enlarged with 5 members out of Europe, in Brazil (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre), Ecuador (Universidade San Francisco de Quito), USA (University of Georgia, Athens), Australia (University of Adelaide) and New Zealand (Otago University, Dunedin).
