Specialization branch offered at Kiel (DE) during the second year
The programme European Master in Applied Ecology offered at Christian-Albrechts-Universitaet zu Kiel (CAU) focuses on “Ecosystem Analysis“. To understand and investigate the dynamics of ecosystems on the local, regional and global scale the offered courses cover studies of terrestrial, freshwater and marine systems. The acquired knowledge is directed to devise case specific response options to achieve a sustainable management of natural resources.
Master thesis carried out within such specialization branch (2008-2010 EMAE edition):
"Modeling Instream Nutrient Retention to assess the Water Quality for Sustainable Management in a Wetland Stream Complex"
"Linking climate and anthropogenic stress to life histories of three pelagic populations of the Mediterranean Sea"
"Ecology and Nutrient Dynamics in Constructed Wetlands with Artificial Aeration"
"Natural Ecology of Caenorhabditis elegans"
"Growth patterns of Medditerranean cold water corals exposed to increased levels of CO2"
"Analysis of spatially referenced economical, social and biophysical data to explore attitudinal responses of landholders to alternative land-use strategies. Case-study of the Eyre Peninsula NRM Region, South Australia"
